I recently imaged the SDM from a 2015 Silverado that was subject to recall 16V-651. This recall was to reflash the SDM software to eliminate the potential for failure to deploy the frontal airbag and/or pre-tensioners under certain rare circumstances. This recall had not been performed on the subject vehicle and now the validity of the data is being questioned. Does anyone have knowledge as to whether the issue with the SDM software also affected the data recorded during a non-deployment event? How can one tell whether a particular event fell into that "rare circumstance" category? Thanks.
