Momentum Analysis Using Scanner Data

Good morning,

My agency recently got a FARO scanner. We use Farozone 3D, which has a momentum tool...but haven't played around with it a ton. Aside from using Farozone, virtual crash, or something else like that. If I wanted to manually use the scanned vehicles/scene to do my own momentum calculation, what would be the best way to do so? I have heard some people say put the scanned vehicles back together, but I am just curious how others do this. Thanks for your time.
